His core teaching philosophy is to develop and guide each student to their highest potential of instrumental and technical understanding resulting in the ability to express a full range of musical ideas with no physical limitations.
Students who have graduated the studio have continued their cello studies with notable teachers Janos Starker, Aldo Parisot, Steven Doane, Alan Harris, Hans Jorgen Jensen, Marc Johnson, Tanya Carey and Anthony Elliott at Indiana University School of Music, Yale, Eastman School of Music, Cleveland Institute of Music, Northwestern University, Northern Illinois University, University of Illinois and University of Michigan.
And graduating students have also achieved successful and significant music careers, winning prizes in competitions, holding key positions in the musical world such as principal cello in renowned orchestras and chamber ensembles, and executive positions in performing arts organizations.
